At OE Oficina today we are celebrating a very special milestone. For the first time, Euskadi has the complete edition of one of Aita Donostia's most important works, Illustrations musicales pour La Vie Profonde de Saint François d'Assise d'Henri Ghéon. A title that conceals a jewel of our musical heritage.
OE Oficina presents a new international initiative devoted to Aita Donostia, one of the key figures in twentieth-century Basque music and folklore, marking the centenary of his work Illustrations Musicales pour la Vie Profonde de Saint François d’Assise.
Pianist and researcher Josu Okiñena, joined by mezzo-soprano Noelia Ibáñez, will present a series of lecture-concerts in San Francisco, Chicago and New York during September, focusing on Aita Donostia’s musical, folkloric and spiritual legacy, as well as his place within the movements of musical renewal and nationalism of his time.

The first edition of the OE OFICINA String Masterclass 2025 has successfully concluded. This event establishes itself as a significant musical training space in Donostia-San Sebastián. The course attracted 25 young talents from Spain, Portugal, Belgium, France, Switzerland, Italy, the Netherlands, Hungary and Russia, reflecting the international nature of the program.
Tatiana Samouil (violin) and Josu Okiñena (piano) will be part of the official program for Bilbao's Aste Nagusia as part of the 27th Encarnación Classical Music Cycle, a landmark event for chamber music.
